The Board of Directors of the Lincoln Land High School Hockey League met at the VFW Northenders at 6:30 on Thursday September 2, 2010.  Those in attendance were President Gary Wells, Treasurer Dave Ryan,  Doug Nelson ? Springfield,  Janet Shures Incoming  Treasurer,  Jeff Rocco  SH-G, Tim Dixon & Jessie McCabe Glenwood, Terri Weems CUYHA, Bill Sheffer ? Decatur, Wayne Shures and Shannon Elliot ?Rochester,  &  guest Dave Shaneman.

The LLHH Board met at 6:45 p.m. at the VFW Northenders on Thursday August 5, 2010.  The following board members were in attendance: Gary Wells ? President, Dave Ryan ? Treasurer, Bill Sheffer ? Decatur, Wayne Shures ? Rochester, Sherrie Fields and Tim Dixon Chatham Glenwood, Doug Nelson Springfield, Jeff Rocco Sacred-Heart Griffin.  Lance Anderson ? Champaign.  These were the only members in attendance.

Many people have asked, "how do you become an ice hockey official"?   Well there are all of the silly answers but we have found some really good information about this on the New York State Amatuer Hockey site.  So we are reposting it here on our site.  Hopefully this should anwer any questions you have about this.  And FYI...

WHY ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY HOCKEY?

1. Unlike many other ACHA programs, the RMU-IL program is fully funded. This means that you pay nothing to play, including travel expenses and meals while on the road for competition.

Team Central Illinois is in it's third season.

This year there are 9 sessions planned and there is a selection of tournaments we will select from. Attached is preliminary information, and a registration form. Additional information is to be posted on the Springfield Kings website in the near future.

The Playoffs will begin on the 5th of February at 7PM with Rochester vs Decatur and at 8:30PM with Chatham Glenwood vs SHG.  The highest seeded team will be the home team for all games during the playoffs.  The playoffs continue on the 8th of February at 7PM with Champaign playing the the lowest seed team left from the games on Friday the 5th.  Springfield will play the remaining winner of the playoff game from the 5th of February game at 8:30PM on the 8th of February.   The two winners from the February 8th playoff games will play for the Lincoln Land Cup at 7PM on the 10th of February at the Nelson Center.
