April LLHH Board Meeting Minutes April 1, 2010

Posted: July 14, 2010 3:52PM; Updated: July 14, 2010 7:54PM The LLHH Board met at 6:30 p.m. on 4/1/2010 at the VFW Northeders (located at 2349 Stockyards Road Springfield, IL. The following members were in attendance: Dave Ryan Treasurer, Gary Wells President, Shannon Elliott/Wayne Shures - Rochester, Jeff Rocco – SHG, Sherry Fields GHS, Terry Weems Champaign, Doug Nelson – SHS Absent,
Gary also asked that it be noted he wanted to thank Jim Shures for repairing the Lincoln Land Cup. Gary said he tried to pay Jim and he would accept no payment. Gary asked for a motion to approve the previously posted minutes. A motion to do so was made by Terri Weems and Seconded by Shannon Elliott. The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.
Gary then asked for a treasures report. Dave reported the following balance:
Hickory Point Account $ 12.86
Checking Account $ 13,848.41
Money Market Fund $ 22,212.53
TOTAL -à>>> $ 36,073.30
Dave reported that for the season to date that revenue had exceeded expenses by $1600. Dave made a motion to rebate $1000 to each team that registered for next season. The amount will be reviewed prior to the beginning of the next season. That motion was seconded by Jeff Rocco and passed on a unanimous voice vote.
Gary discussed the downstate tournament which did not take place. Gary said that he thought we all missed a good chance for that this year and was uncertain if it might take place next year.
In addressing the board Gary said he had made no further contact with the CIPHL. He said he would follow up with them this summer.
Gary said he had asked Janet Shures to attend. Janet had volunteered to take on the Treasurer’s duty next year.
Dave Ryan brought up the subject of a league sponsored dinner for the Ryan and Well’s family. A motion was made by Jeff, seconded by Wayne and passed on a voice vote.
The meeting was closed at 7:40- p.m.
