L.L.H.H. March 2010 Board Meeting March 4, 2010

Posted: March 04, 2010 3:40PM; Updated: March 04, 2010 8:47PM The LLHH Board met at 6:30 p.m. on March 4 2009 at the VFW Northeders (located at 2349 Stockyards Road Springfield, IL. The following members were in attendance: Dave Ryan Treasurer, Gary Wells President, Shannon Elliott Rochester, Jeff Rocco – SHG, Sherry Fields GHS, Doug Nelson – SHS, and Doug Nelson and seconded by Jeff Rocco.
Gary asked for a motion to approve the previously posted minutes. A motion to do so was made by Doug Nelson and Seconded by Jeff Rocco. The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.
Gary then asked for a treasures report. Dave reported the following balance:
Hickory Point Account $ 3.86
Checking Account $ 16,266.37
Money Market Fund $ 22,212.53
TOTAL -à>>> $ 38,514.26
Dave reported that for the season to date that revenue had exceeded expenses by $4000. Dave said once the final figures were in Dave said he could tell the board what the exact situation was. For the time being Dave said he would be in favor of rebating a predetermined dollar amount to each of the returning teams next year.
A motion to accept this report was made by Doug Nelson and seconded by Sherry Fields and passed unanimously.
Gary congratulated the Rochester Club on their victory of the Lincoln Land Cup. Gary told the board that it was a great game and good for the league. Gary also wanted to thank Terri Weems and Jim Cannnamela and the other parents who helped at the championship game.
Gary said some planning needed to be done for next year’s championship game. Gary noted that there had been a problem with a championship game in another Central Illinois League.
Under suspension Gary said that penalties from this year would carry over to next year.
Gary discussed the AHIA playdown games and when they might occur. Gary said this weekend 3/7/2010 will be the last Sunday for LLHH practices.
Gary said he has been contacted by the Central Illinois Prep league to discuss league play. Gary said he spoke to Brad Windsor. Gary said the CIPHL games have been on weekend and LLHH games have largely been on weeknights. Gary also pointed out that heretofore there are significant differences in the philosophies of each leagues.
Gary asked to be remunerated for a broken scroll board. There was a motion made by Dave Ryan to reimburse Gary for this board. He motion was seconded by Jeff Rocco and passed on a voice vote.
Gary also mentioned Team Illinois and A Robert Morris mini-camp that has been posted on our web site www.llhh.org .
Gary asked that Shannon report on the Nelson Center Zamoni meeting. Shannon said the Nelson Center needs $55,000 to purchase a refurbished machine. They were looking for assistance from the user group to help raise funds for the effort.
The meeting was closed at 7:40- p.m.
